A little contest about logic (& maybe programming)

Today I'd like to propose to you another little contest of logic.
This one is less "mathematical" than the previous, but it's very funny.

There is a very particular city.
In this city whatever you have with you is stolen when you live your house.
The only thing that is not stolen is a chest locked with a padlock.
Now, consider two inhabitants of this city, Alice and Bob.
Each of them has a chest, a padlock and a key.
Alice wants to bring a cake to Bob. How can she do it?

    1 - Alice takes the locked chest with the cake inside to Bob;
    2 - Bob locks the chest again and takes it back to Alice;
    3 - Alice removes her lock from the chest and takes it back to Bob;
    4 - Bob removes his lock from the chest but.. how the cake will smells like? ;-)
